Joe Long is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

We (the Fans of the Four Seasons) are completely shocked to find out that an orginal Four Seasons member Joe Long (pic on left) was not inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the other band members. None the less, we are hopeful that with the support of other fans we can have Joe Long inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame next to the other Four Seasons. Thank you for your help and support!

On the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame website they state: "...in addition to Gaudio and Valli, the Four Seasons' definitive lineup included singer/guitarist Tommy DeVito and bass vocalist/vocal arranger Nick Massi later replaced by Joe Long." Ok, so why not include Joe Long in the Hall of Fame with the other members of The Four Seasons "definitive Lineup"?

Letter to R&R Hall of Fame from Capt. Bartelli

Dear Sir,

I am saddened to learn that Joe Long, The 4 Seasons 1965-1975, has not been inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The 1960's were both my high school and college years. The music of The 4 Seasons with Joe Long on bass were as much a part of my life then as proms, football games and frat parties. In the 1970's, I went to Viet Nam for two tours of duty and life got far more serious. The 4 Seasons with Joe Long came with me. Their music played constantly and made us all feel while "in country", at least for awhile, happy, sane and safe.

Mr. Director, it was Joe Long I remember as a member of The 4 Seasons then and it's Joe Long whose influencial music touched the lives of the servicemen in Viet Nam. Please do the right thing...induct Joe "Long" LaBracio in the Hall of Fame.

The Classic 4 Seasons Line up with Joe Long!

The Classic 4 Seasons Rock & Roll Line up (Note Joe Long is pic bottom center) These guys were the "American Beatles" at the time. None the less, Joe is not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with the rest of the band. This is because Mr. Long was not with the band durning the first couple years when they formed as a "Do Wop" band. However, when Joe joined in the early 60s the 4 Seasons changed their sound and became a classic Rock and Roll Group. After all its the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, not the "Do Wop" Hall of Fame- so Joe Long belongs with the rest of the band. Not having Joe in with the Four Seasons is like inducting the Beatles with Pete Best and no Ringo! Come on guys and Rolling Stone magazine editors... lets induct Joe into the Hall of Fame next time around! Thanks for reading!!
